Created for IGDA Golden Bear Game jam.

RECOMMENDED: Download the exe for a much better experience!

(If you are having issues with the Browser version, Restart with (R) and it (may) work!)

CONTROLS:

LEFT CLICK: Fire Yoyo

RIGHT CLICK (Hold):

Time pressing and holding Right Click to Catch the Yoyo as it returns to you! Once caught, keep holding right click until after firing the Yoyo for a higher damage, piercing shot!

SPACE: Jump

SHIFT: Dash

R: Retry

WHAT IS IT?

FPS movement platformer featuring a yoyo as your primary weapon.

You are a robot who found itself lost in a strange ruin.  Equipped with only your trusty yoyo, you must navigate the ruin filled with deadly enemies to retrieve the ultimate relic, The Sparkle,  then escape the ruins with your newfound treasure!!!

WHAT DO I DO??

Due to time restraints, the objective of the game may at times be unclear! The goal is to find The Sparkle within the ruins, and then travel back to the start of the level where you can escape with it, facing new challenges on your return! (There is no ending scene, so enjoy jumping out of the map into the cold embrace of the void!)

BEFORE AND AFTER THEMING:

The game jam theme this project was created under is "Before and After". This inspired us to create a game that was different in some way before and after achieving the goal of the level. Once the player grabs The Sparkle, new enemies appear, and they must track through the level in reverse to escape.

Known Bugs:

Audio sometimes plays incorrectly

We totally are!! Progress is probably gonna be slow, but we're already planning how to progress the gameplay going forward :) We just watched your stream and are so happy that you enjoyed it! This is our first game together! (Zac has made some small projects before and Aliyah has never worked on a game until now but has had a lot of art experience!)
